Lipedema
Lipid treatment
Classical lipedema is a genetic distribution disorder of fatty tissue. In addition to the healthy fatty tissue layer, there is a pathological, autonomous fat layer. There is an accumulation of adipose tissue especially on the hips and legs and mainly in women. By weight loss or exercise only this layer cannot be reduced.
The swelling associated with the disease often causes pain, a tendency to bruise and pressure sensitivity.
Lipedema treatment requires detailed preliminary clarification. Dermatologist and vein specialist, among others.
When treating lipedema, care must be taken to ensure that as much as possible diseased fatty tissue is removed while protecting the lymphatic system, and that this requires a high degree of experience.
In most cases, we can perform the procedure on an outpatient basis. In the case of higher stages, if necessary a second intervention might be planned.
During treatment, both tumescent local anaesthesia and sedation/anaesthesia are considered.
Complications are rare but can never be completely ruled out. Expect bruises, temporary sensation disturbances and muscle aches and pains. Often there are temporary swellings after the procedure, especially of the lower extremities.
Nachbehandlung
Costs depend on effort and type of anaesthesia
